This Definition is not at all what I expected it would be or could be interpreted as. I didn't really think that coffee was even affiliated much with camping. It surely gives me a topic that I know nothing about to research which is a good thing.
The formal qualities of cut out images look playful however the dim lit environment and the black and white coffee pot looks negative. It's somewhat confusing to me whether it's negative or positive.
Camping is usually seen as fun, and the technique used looks playful and to me connotes a childlike quality, like sesame street. It reminds me of telling scary stories around the campfire.
Also another thing that confuses me is that the pot looks like it's on fire because its' sitting in the campfire. I used that as my final decision maker that the postcard is somewhat negative?

I saw this as positive. the idea was that the product of coffee was a happy camper, its early morning before the long hike and you've put the pot on the fire. I wanted the vignette to make it look as though the only light was coming from the fire and the pot, like the fire and pot are what is brightening your morning. you did get the child-like aspect which was good. i felt the rendering style allowed for the feeling of that trip you remember taking with your dad and siblings to the river.
